Bond and his Beer

Before the reboot started, the ‘fans’ were upset that James Bond would have blonde hair. Now that silly nitpick is done and two films in, you might think that there would be little the Bond fans would wane on about. Think again. This time around, about the booze. Neither stirred nor shaken.
Time has this to say:
Thanks to a product placement deal with the Dutch brewer, at least one scene in the new film will see Daniel Craig requesting a Heineken from behind the bar. The brand, according to AdAge, has had a partnership with the film for 15 years, but this is the beermaker’s most major attempt to capitalize on the Bond name.
The response from fans was not a favorable one. Bond isn’t drinking martini’s anymore. That’s the problem. They same bunch of folks who didn’t like Blonde Bond (and still don’t, believe it or not) or when Pierce Brosnan drove a BMW instead of an Aston Martin in 95′s ‘Goldeneye’. While I agree there some things that are iconic about the character, I also say, as long as the character stops the bad guys and saves the world, who cares if he drinks a martini or all he really wanted was a Pepsi? (Or in this case, Heineken)
Anyway, here’s the question to the int’l friends. Is is really all that important to you that James Bond orders something different at the bar..or not?
What website is this rage on, I wanna see the stupid comments
Ahh, actually on Time itself!!! lol
As much as I will forever admire the taste of a good Cold Heineken, I’d like to think Bond would settle for no less than an Artois……..Stella Artois!
